Street Closure of Centinela Av, between Beach Av and Florence Av

As part of the Crenshaw/LAX Transit Project, Metro’s contractor, Walsh-Shea Corridor Constructors (WSCC) will be closing Centinela Av between Beach Av and Florence Av for five days. The closure of Centinela Av will be in place Sunday, March 122017 at 9pm through 4pm Friday, March 17, 2017
This is necessary for the construction of the at-grade crossing at Centinela Av.

As part of the Crenshaw/LAX Transit Project, Metro’s contractor, Walsh-Shea Corridor Constructors (WSCC) will be closing Centinela Av between Beach Av and Florence Av for five days during the month of March. This is necessary for the construction of the at-grade crossing. The work consists of demolition, excavation, installation of duct banks, back filling with ballast, installation of rail and components, and minor street improvements. The closure of Centinela Av will begin on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at 9pm through 4pm Friday, March 17, 2017.

What to Expect

• Full closure of Centinela Av at Florence Av
• Right and left turns will be restricted onto Centinela Av from Florence Av
• Closure of the east side of Centinela Av between Florence Av and Beach Av
• Local access to La Colina Dr will be maintained. Drivers will be guided by flaggers at the corners of La Colina Dr and Beach Av.
• One southbound lane on Centinela Av will be closed between Beach Av and Hyde Park Bl
• Traffic wanting to go north on Centinela Av, must turn right on La Brea Av and then left on Centinela Av
• Traffic wanting to go south on Centinela Av must turn right La Brea Av and then turn left on Florence Av.
• Eastbound lane reduction on Centinela Av when approaching La Brea Av.
