Four Metro BSC clients win over $50K for improvements

Los Angeles - Wells Fargo announced the winners of its Neighborhood Renovation Program essay contest with all four Los Angeles finalists located along Crenshaw Boulevard.  

Winners will receive a physical make-over including architect-advised renovation planning and design.  

The Metro Business Solution Center (BSC) played a key role in informing local businesses about the program and encouraged them to apply for the unique opportunity to enhance their storefronts.

Jordan’s Hot Dogs was the grand prize winner of $25,000.00 towards improving his restaurant located at 5960 Crenshaw Boulevard.  The family owned restaurant has been in business since 1965 and is currently operated by Cary Jordan a graduate of Crenshaw High School.

Additional finalists each winning $10,000.00 included Brooklyn Deli (4308 Crenshaw), Morris Media Studios (4309 Crenshaw), and Madame Kofu’s African Boutique (4325 Crenshaw).

“All four finalists are Business Solution Center clients and we’re extremely proud they won,” BSC Project Manager Ken Hitts stated.  

Wells Fargo named 20 small businesses as winners and finalists in Atlanta, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami and Minneapolis.  To assist with renovation planning and design, architects in each city agreed to contribute their services pro-bono as part of the contest.
