Background & Mission

Metro_Pic_4-_135_x_213.jpgOn July 24, 2014, Metro’s Board of Directors issued Motion 79, which authorized the CEO to establish a Pilot Business Solution Center (“BSC”) for the Crenshaw Corridor. The BSC’s purpose and main area of focus would be to service those businesses along Crenshaw at-grade alignment to the Corridor between 48th and 60th Streets.

The mission of the BSC is “to enhance the capability of impacted businesses to persevere through potential disruptions caused by construction and ultimately take advantage of opportunities arising from the completion of the Crenshaw/LAX Transit Project.”

In line with our mission, the committed effort of the BSC is to be a Community Resource and Business Support Network to those targeted small businesses along the Crenshaw Corridor during the construction of the Crenshaw/LAX Transit Project.

BSC’s Services include Case Management, Technical Assistance, and Business Referral Support, and is based on four (4) major processes: Outreach Assessment, Intake & Referral, Case Management, and Follow Up & Tracking.

These business support services will be provided the General Partnership of Del Richardson & Associates, Inc., Vermont Slauson Economic Development Corporation, Los Angeles Urban League, Urban Design Center, and Turning Point Communications.
